Put a SMILE on a child's face, give the gift of reading. Meriden Public Library Children's Library has for the last 20 years a tradition called the "Story Book Tree" this tradition is to collect new or like new books to distribute to children all over the community. Some of the organizations who receive these books are the Homework Centers at the Mills, Chamberlain Heights, & Yale Acres, Homeless Center, Battered Women's Center, WIC program, Health Department Dental Program, Meriden Care Center, Headstart & more.
