The Hartford Line Construction Update: Town of Wallingford
April 13, 2016
Beginning on April 18th and concluding by April 22nd, there will be construction activity at the Ward Street grade crossing in Wallingford. Work will primarily include new drainage, curbing, sidewalks and signage. It will occur weekdays during the daytime hours of 9-3pm. One-way alternating traffic will be in place with the use of traffic personnel and proper signage.In addition, beginning on April 22nd and concluding by April 25th, Ward Street will be closed to thru traffic. Traffic personnel and proper detour signage will be in place throughout the duration of construction.
Please note that this schedule is subject to change.
This work is part of the overall upgrade of the New Haven-Hartford-Springfield commuter rail line � now branded as the Ctrail Hartford Line � scheduled to begin expanded service in January 2018.
