On January 3rd, the Center held an invitation-only reception, attended by non-profit agencies and City officials. The event was hosted by Executive Director Carla Cesare and City Manager Roger Kemp, with tours conducted by author Laura Van Wormer. The holiday festival, which included workshops and a Christmas tree auction, concluded with a Three Kings Day celebration. Upcoming programs will include a Janet Leigh film festival in February. Ms. Cesare plans to hire a part-time marketing and administrative assistant, in order to schedule more events. She also hopes to finish the basement and add a catering kitchen. The Center's goal is to eventually fund itself through cultural programming, by attracting more members and paying events.
