The Holiday Season is fast approaching and the Augusta Curtis Cultural Center will be hosting its 6th Annual Silent Tree and Holiday Items Auction. This event has become very popular over the years and we hope that you will be able to participate this year.Through the Holiday Celebration, being held from November 11th through December 15th, we hope to acknowledge Meriden's Bicentennial by having the trees decorated to reflect something pertaining to the Bicentennial. Items donated to the Holiday Auction do not need to be Bicentennial themed, but we will be giving prizes for the top Bicentennial trees and will be asking all who come to see the trees to vote for the best of the Bicentennial entries. Prizes will be presented at a reception for all participants on Thursday, Dec. 14th from 5pm to 7pm.
We are inviting all local businesses, organizations and individuals to participate in this event by decorating a tree, a wreath, or a centerpiece, which will then be auctioned off through an on going Silent Auction. This auction will be held throughout the Holiday Celebration and all proceeds will benefit the participating non- profits and ACCC. The non-profits will get half of what their tree brings in at auction. Please join us in celebrating the season by participating in this event. We sincerely hope that you will be a part of this wondrous display.
