2022 Connecticut Neighborhood Assistance Act (NAA) Program

The Connecticut Neighborhood Assistance Act Tax Credit Program provides tax credits to business firms (C Corps only) that make cash investments in qualifying community programs conducted by non-profits or municipal agencies. Businesses can receive a credit of 60% of their approved contribution to certain programs (or 100% in the case of certain energy conservation programs) approved by the Department of Revenue Services. To qualify for the program, non-profit organizations must submit an application NAA-01 to the City. The City will host a public hearing on all applicants and vote on their endorsement before submitting the packet to the State Department of Revenue Services (DRS) by July 1, 2022 for final approval. In the fall, DRS will distribute the list of approved programs and businesses will be invited to complete the NAA-02 to identify which program(s) they wish to fund. It is the responsibility of applying nonprofit organizations to identify and notify businesses who may be interested in funding their projects.Applications are due by 4:30 p.m., Friday, May 27, 2022 and may be submitted by regular mail or email to:

A public hearing to discuss applications received is tentatively scheduled for Monday, June 13th at 5:00 p.m. in City Council Chambers, 142 East Main Street, Meriden, CT. A notice confirming the date of the public hearing will be published in the Record Journal and on the City website.
