City Acquires Property Key to Redeveloping Factory H Site.

January 26, 2010

City Acquires Property Key to Redeveloping Factory H Site. The City recently acquired a vacant medical office building located at 116 Cook Avenue. 116 Cook Ave consists of 2.8 acres of land improved with a four-story 74,381 square foot building and associated paved parking for 220 vehicles. Reuse plans call for 116 Cook and the adjacent Factory H brownfield site to be redeveloped into mixed use retail, office and residential uses. The City expects to demolish the Factory H buildings by the end of this year. USEPA has committed $2.5 million in grant funding to the project. A project advisory committee composed of community stakeholders and City staff guide the revitalization work.
