MidState President & CEO Lucille Janatka receives Girl Scouts' Award

MidState Medical Center President & CEO Lucille Janatka was recently named a 2012 Woman of Merit Honoree by the Girls Scouts of Connecticut. In recognition of the 100th Anniversary of Girl Scouting, Girl Scouts of Connecticut embarked on a journey this year to recognize 100 women, men, organizations and groups across the state that best represent the values of Girl Scouting and a commitment to building girls of courage, confidence, and character. Lucille was named an honoree in the Trailblazer category among 19 other leaders.According to the Girls Scouts, "trailblazers are defined as those whose pioneering efforts opened the door for girls to follow - perhaps someone who was the first to reach a particular professional milestone, participated in an activity that changed how women were involved, or challenged themselves to create new opportunities for girls and women." An award ceremony was held on September 12 at the Hartford Marriot Downtown.
