Local Hospital Takes Necessary Precautions

As the H1N1 virus continues to make an impact in this region and throughout the state, MidState Medical Center is implementing visitor restrictions in order to protect our patients, staff and the community at-large who are susceptible to the H1N1 infection:All children younger than 18 years of age refrain from visiting both the inpatient and outpatient areas during this peak influenza season.
Any persons who are ill and experiencing flu-like symptoms should refrain from visiting the hospital.
Visitors should observe proper hand hygiene and cover their cough.
No more than two visitors at a time for each patient is encouraged..
Visitors must follow all posted isolation guidelines.
