MidState Auxiliary Golf Tourney A Success

June 29, 2009

Upon registration each golfer was presented with a sleeve of golf balls sponsored by Clinical Laboratory Partners while a royal blue fleece lap blanket awaited the golfers in their carts courtesy of the MidState Auxiliary. Before the golfers set out to play, a lunch of hamburgers and hot dogs plus other cold foods and beverages was sponsored by TD Banknorth.

Throughout the afternoon, volunteers served snacks from two strategically placed beverage and snack stations sponsored by Danaher, Lagnese & Neal, P.C., and Hunter's Ambulance Service, Inc., Nair & Levin, P.C. and MBH Architecture, LLC.

After 18 holes were completed, everyone enjoyed the cocktails and hors d'oeuvres sponsored by Carmody & Torrance, LLP. This was followed by a delicious dinner of steak, chicken, salad, baked potato, corn and dessert.

After dinner, Auxiliary President, Gerry Meoni, welcomed everyone and thanked them for their generous support of this very important annual event. Thanks to the generosity of many sponsors, Auxilians and Midstate friends, Gerry presented Lucille Janatka, Midstate President and CEO, with a check in the amount of $ 65,000.00, which will benefit the hospital's programs and services.

The following team prizes were announced: 1st gross (60*): Team PMA Management- Alan Mathog, Ed Scannell, Erik Bartlett, and Dom Perno; 2nd gross (60): Century Financial Services- Gary Bergenty, Michael Brooder, Mark Stewart, and Paul Smith; 1st Net (55.8) Urology Specialists - Stephen Siegel, Anthony Kim, Mark McSweeney, and Bill Demeo; 2nd Net (56.2) BL Companies - Bob Celata, Gary Klare, Mike Delgreco, and Chris Albine; 3rd Net (56.4) Anthem - James Ranney, Todd Thurston, Dave Croke, and Bill Bennet; 1st Net Mixed (56.5) - Robin Kenna, Judy Dos Santos, Tom Collette, and Paul Gambardella. Closest to the Pin -Men -Gary Klare 5'6, and Women - Robin Kenna 33'9, Longest Drive - Men � Jim Von Hoorn, and Women � Dee McDonald; Closest To the Line- Jim Carroll.

The Auxiliary appreciates the generosity of everyone who contributed to this very important fundraiser, now in its twenty-fifth year. A special thank you to all the volunteers who worked so many hours ensuring the success of this year's tournament.
