June 9, 2004

City Fire Chief James M. Trainor will be recognized at a ceremony on Thursday, June 10th, 11:00 a.m. at City Council Chambers. City Manager, Roger Kemp, and United Way Executive Director, Joe Baker, will present Trainor with a plaque for Best Giving by a City Department to the United Way Community Campaign. The campaign, led by Trainor, raised $2,601 to benefit programs throughout the community. "Chief Trainor brings experience and commitment to the task of raising funds for the community," says Baker. "He understands how community programs complement City services and is energetic in inviting employees to help make a difference for our community." City Manager Roger Kemp added, "Jim's efforts are a great example to our other departments who have so much potential for helping our community through their giving. I am proud to present this recognition to Jim."
