Shamas Joins BL Companies

Jeffrey Shamas, CE, PWS, SS, has joined BL Companies as the northeast regional manager of the environmental resources group. He will be based in the firm's Meriden, CT, corporate headquarters.Mr. Shamas has 18 years of extensive technical, project management and senior management experience in natural resources planning and permitting. Prior to joining BL Companies, he was the New England environmental planning and permitting program manager for a private consulting firm.
According to James Kodlick, CE, PWS, RPA, environmental resources group manager, and a principal at BL Companies, "We are very pleased that Jeff has joined our team. He is a highly respected manager in the environmental resources field and will be a welcome addition to BL Companies. Jeff will enhance our ability to service private and public clients throughout the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic regions."
Mr. Shamas received a Bachelor of Science in ecology from Johnson State College, VT. He is nationally certified as a professional wetland scientist, ecologist and a soil scientist. Mr. Shamas is a member of the Society of Wetland Scientists, the Ecological Society of America, the National Society of Consulting Soil Scientists and the Connecticut Association of Wetland Scientists.
