The Record-Journal is seeking weekly business columnists from the local community to share their advice and expertise with our four-town readership. The advice and information should be of general interest to consumers or other business owners, and are not a free advertisement. Columns should be 500 words and include tips or advice that can be shared freely. The author's name and business will appear at the end of the column and a photo of the author will be taken. Some topic ideas could be: saving money at tax time, financial investment advice, preventing identity theft, marketing on a budget, work-place related issues, handling employee-employer or employee to employer issues, general business technology advice and teaching children about money management.
