Pyramid Time Systems Sponsors Cooking Demonstration for Employees - Partners with Cooking Matters CT and Sow Fresh Organics

Pyramid Time Systems recently stepped up to supplement its year-round Employee Wellness program with an on-site health conscious cooking demonstration given by Terry Young of the Community Health Network of CT Foundation's Cooking Matters CT. Young tantalized Pyramid employees' taste buds with three simple, inexpensive and healthy recipes chock full of fresh fruits and vegetables. Farm-fresh, organic ingredients were supplied by Sow Fresh Organics, a premier Middletown based e-tail farmer's market offering Connecticut consumers the convenience of online shopping for local produce, dairy, meats and other farm fresh products, all delivered right to your doorstep. Sow Fresh Organics generously donated a fruit and vegetable raffle box, helping raise over $100 for the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life.This was a wonderful event that did more than let employees know that eating healthy doesn't have to break the bank or take lots of time to prepare. Employees were also introduced to the Cooking Matters CT program, and its volunteer chefs and staff which help people in the community learn how to purchase and cook healthy meals. Sow Fresh Organics founders, Kedhar and Karen Thiruvalam were also on hand to explain the benefits of eating organic and their neighborhood co-op program. Ultimately, the best part of the event�tasting all that nature has to offer!
