Middlesex Community College has obtained a $25,000 grant from SNET to support the College's Meriden based distance learning initiative. The goal of the program is to reach at least 200 Meriden students and encourage them to enroll in college through on-line education. The study in Meriden On-Line Now (SIMON SAYS) project creates a direct linkage with the non-traditional portion of the Meriden School District and social support organizations. The SIMON SAYS project partners are Meriden Adult Education and three area high schools; Meriden Housing Authority, the Open DOHR and Head Start Parents with the Women and Families Center; and the Meriden Community Action Agency with the Middlesex Community College Meriden Center.
