Lunch Time Program with Dr. Tina Boucher

March 24, 2009

Meriden Public Library will be hosting a lunch time program with Dr. Tina Boucher on Monday, April 6 at noon in the Griffin Room. Dr. Boucher, a local podiatrist, will be discussing her new book "Why do my feet hurt? A user's guide to foot and ankle health." Health topics covered in the book include bunions, hammertoes, heel pain, arthritis, diabetic foot care, orthotics, and more. In the book you can find out what to do if you have foot pain, what a podiatrist is, and the latest in podiatric medical technology.

Dr. Boucher was born and raised on the west side of Meriden and graduated from Platt High School. She received a BS in psychology from McGill University, Montreal, Canada, and spent several years in the corporate world before deciding to return to school to become a podiatrist. Dr. Boucher received her Doctor of Podiatric Medicine from Temple University in Philadelphia and spent the next three years at Benedictine Hospital, Kingston, New York, serving for the last two years as chief surgical resident. She is a member of the Connecticut Podiatric Medical Association, American Podiatric Medical Association, American Academy of Podiatric Practice Management, and American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. The program is free and all are invited. Contact the Community Services Department at (203) 630-6349 by April 4th to reserve a lunch.
