Edible Book Festival

March 24, 2009

Calling all readers and bakers! Do you have a favorite book? Show off your creativity by bringing an edible book creation to the Meriden Public Library's Edible Book Festival on Saturday, April 4. Bring in an edible creation that represents the theme or title of a book or reproduce the book cover with some edible element, as long as the entry has something to do with books or is book shaped. Entries can be dropped off in the Griffin Room from 10:00 am to noon. Viewing of all the edible book creations begins at noon and the eating of the creations commences at 1:00 pm. Coffee and tea will be provided. This event is free.

The International Edible Book Festival is held annually on or near April 1as a way to really share a book or "eat your words."Contact the Community Services Department at (203) 630-6349 if you have questions about this or any other program at the library.
