Wheeler Clinic Hosts Third Annual Evening of Wonder and celebrates hope, healing and transformation in the lives of children, adolescents, adults and families.

July 16, 2013

Wheeler's Third annual Evening of Wonder returns to the Marriott Hartford Downtown on October 12, 2013, starting at 6 p.m., to celebrate hope, healing and transformation in the lives of children, adolescents, adults and families.

Connecticut Lieutenant Governor Nancy Wyman serves as the event's Honorary Chair, and Fox CT News Anchor Alison Morris will serve as the event emcee. Aetna is the Presenting Sponsor for An Evening of Wonder, and Jake Biscoglio, Wheeler trustee, is the event chair.

"Proceeds from An Evening of Wonder have a direct and measurable impact on Wheeler's programs and services," said Biscoglio. "This remarkable event offers something for everyone, from a broad selection of silent and live auctions, to a great night of music and dancing. I wholeheartedly encourage businesses and individuals to join us."

"An Evening of Wonder is a wonderful way for the community to come together to support and celebrate the individuals and families we serve," said Susan Walkama, LCSW, president and chief executive officer, Wheeler Clinic. "The generosity, enthusiasm and commitment of our event sponsors, volunteers and the community truly make hope, healing and transformation possible in the lives of individuals and families in Greater Hartford."

An Evening of Wonder features dinner, lively entertainment from rhythm and blues artist Timmy Maia and his band, and silent and live auctions. The reception and silent auction begin at 6 p.m., and dinner and the live auction start at 7 p.m., with dancing to follow.
