Ion Insurance Moving to New Naugatuck Location

The company will move from its current location at 270 Church St. to its new headquarters at 24 Cherry St., which is less than a half mile away, said David Rotatori, the president of Ion Insurance and the chief financial officer of Ion Bank, the insurance agency's sister company.

The move is expected to take place in mid-October, Rotatori said.

At 5,000 square feet, the new location will provide the company with a 21 percent increase in usable office space, he said.

The more spacious accommodations would enable the company to add up to 10 new work stations to accommodate potential staff increases which could take place through either additional hiring or potential acquisitions, he said.

The new quarters will also enable the company to redesign and modernize its office environment, introduce wireless access throughout the building, and upgrade its phone system, its computer system and its servers.

"When you consider the additional space we gain, the increased visibility and the opportunity to both redesign the look and feel of our workplace and to make a large number of technological enhancements and improvements, you can begin to appreciate why this move makes a lot of sense for us," Rotatori said.
