Gallery 53 at 53 Colony St., Meriden, will be having a Photography Exhibit from August 18 through September 2. A reception will be held on Thursday, Aug. 18, from 5 to 7 pm and is free and open to the public. Interested exhibitors should call the gallery for an entry form @ 203-235-5347.

In September, an exhibit of watercolors by John Neff, AWS. Entitled "Watercolor East" will run from September 8th through 30th. A reception will be held on Thursday, Sept 8th from 5 to 7 pm. A resident of Wallingford, John Neff is a member of the American Watercolor Society and is listed in" Who's Who of American Art" and "Men of Achievement-International Biographies". His art is represented in the Peter A. Juley collection in the National Museum of American Art, Smithsonian Institution, Washington, D.C.

An Intermediate Pottery Class for students 7-10 years old will be held on Tuesday afternoon, 4-5:30 p.m. beginning August 9 for 4 weeks. The cost is $45. Call the gallery at 203-235-5347 to register.
