At a recent nonprofit industry event, Kuhn Employment Opportunities, Inc. received recognition in all categories of service distinction. The Connecticut Community Providers Association (CCPA) presented awards to a Kuhn staff member, a Kuhn employer and a Kuhn program participant recognizing their achievements. Each year at their annual conference, the CCPA selects from a group of nominees to present awards. The Kuhn awards were made at this year's CCPA conference held on September 21-22 in Farmington, Connecticut. Elena Pedroncelli, a Kuhn Employment Specialist, was presented with an award for Outstanding Direct Care. She was acknowledged for her compassion and dedication in supporting clients reach their individual recovery goals. Mark Muller of Ultimate Maintenance Concepts, a Middletown employer, received an award for his outstanding community support to individuals with disabilities. Mark employs seven participants in the Kuhn Supported Employment Program. Shane Tuttle, a participant in Kuhn's Middletown Supported Employment Program, was recognized as an Outstanding Consumer. Shane's success as a result of his determination and work ethic was acknowledged. Kuhn Employment Opportunities is a nationally accredited not-for-profit employment agency for people with disabilities. Offices are located in Meriden and Middletown.
