Naugatuck Savings Bank Foundation Funds Registration Management System for Boys & Girls Club of Meriden

June 24, 2013

The Naugatuck Savings Bank Foundation has granted $5,950 to fund a new capacity building registration management system for the Boys & Girls Club of Meriden. "We are happy to fund this project to help the Boys & Girls Club modernize its vast system of record keeping and to allow online program registration," said Charles Boulier III, Naugatuck Savings Bank President and CEO. "A new system will allow their staff to spend their time more efficiently for the families they serve."

The Boys & Girls Club of Meriden provides a safe, positive environment where boys and girls ages 6-18 from diverse racial, cultural and religious backgrounds can go every day after school. It serves over 2,150 boys and girls annually. With its continued expansion, there's been a dramatic increase in paper registration forms for general membership and summer camp. This increased programming has created the need for effective well-run payment plans, greater organization of multiple classes, generation of multiple class lists, and easy access to stored health records in times of emergency. The administration work load of the staff has become time consuming and inefficient.

"We are grateful for the Foundation's generous grant that will help us strengthen our internal operating structure to be more effective and efficient while working toward fulfilling our mission," said Larry McGoldrick, Boys & Girls Club of Meriden Executive Director.
