Naugatuck Savings Bank Foundation Donates $2,500 to Support Special Olympics Connecticut 2013 Basketball Invitational

Naugatuck, CT, March 14, 2013 The Naugatuck Savings Bank Foundation awarded a $2,500 grant to Special Olympics Connecticut to support its 2013 Basketball Invitational on March 16th in Waterbury. We are proud to support Special Olympics and their local athletes, said Charles J. Boulier III, President and CEO, Naugatuck Savings Bank. By their participation in competitive sports, we all benefit from the hope the athletes inspire through their determination and courage. The 2013 Basketball Invitational is the only traditional event hosted by Special Olympics Connecticut, with every team consisting solely of individuals with intellectual disabilities. The event is a one day tournament held at Holy Cross High School, Chase Park House, Chase Collegiate and Kennedy High School.

We are grateful for Naugatuck Savings Bank Foundation's support for our local Basketball Invitational,said Nora Mason, Regional Director of Special Olympics Connecticut Northwest Region. With their support, we are able to run this event efficiently and provide our athletes with the opportunity to experience a riveting and competitive sporting environment.
