Brown & Welsh Partner Named to Law Revision Commission

Thomas J. Welsh, Esq. of Brown & Welsh, P.C. has been appointed by the CT Speaker of the House of Representatives to a four year term as a Commissioner of the CT Law Revision Commission. The Law Revision Commission conducts an ongoing review of CT Law and recommends appropriate revisions to antiquated, unconstitutional, and inequitable laws. The Commission assists the Judiciary Committee of the General Assembly and other legislative and executive bodies on specific revision proposals and solicits the expertise of numerous state legal authorities and exerts in arriving at its recommendations.

"The work of the Commission is important to the justice system and the people of the State of Connecticut" said Mr. Welsh. While Mr. Welsh's practice primarily involves commerical issues and business law issues, he looks forward to working on other issues as well. "The progressive development of the law concerns all people and it must be done on a continuous basis." Mr. Welsh is also a member of the American Law Institute, a national organization pursuing similar activities.
