Attorney Thomas J. Welsh of the Meriden, CT based Brown & Welsh, P.C. was elected as a Regent of the American College of Commercial Finance Lawyers on April 2, 2005. Attorney Welsh is one of seven Fellows of the College in Connecticut. He is an author, frequent lecturer and provides background information to the CT General Assembly and the media on commercial law topics.

The American College of Commercial Finance Lawyers is a national honorary association of attorneys and academics in commercial law topics that promotes development, research and teaching of commercial law.

Attorney Welsh is a resident of Meriden, is a 1980 graduate of the UCONN School of Law and is a 1975 graduate of UCONN with a major in Physics. He also undertook advanced studies in Physics at MIT.

Brown & Welsh has a national reputation in business law (domestic and international) and related litigation, arbitration and mediation, including contracts, Uniform Commercial Code (sale of goods, promissory notes, electronic transfer of funds, letters of credit and security interests), bankruptcy and computer law (including domain name disputes and identity theft).
