The New Haven Chapter of SCORE, the Service Corps of Retired Executives, is extending its operations with plans to open a branch office to serve the Meriden, Wallingford and Cheshire areas.It is at present recruiting retired or semi-retired business men and women with managerial experience who would be willing to share their expertise in counseling people planning to go into business, and also in assisting existing businesses seeking advice.
SCORE is a nationwide volunteer organization consisting of over 12,300 members, and is sponsored by the U.S. Small Business Administration. Anyone interested in receiving further details about joining SCORE may call Lester Drabkin, membership chairman, at (203) 387-0903.
