The 2 hour workshop will discuss the FAFSA form, CSS Profile form along with other important information parents need to understand in order to maximize the amount of financial aid they are eligible to receive. This workshop is about Financial Literacy and educating families on the process of getting their student into the best fit college.

College4Less is an independent Connecticut firm offering guidance and assistance to parents and students to better position themselves to get into the colleges of their choice at the least possible cost.  Chamber Young Business Leaders Committee Meeting

Description: As one of the newest committees affiliated with the Chamber, members of the Young Business Leaders come together to engage in community life and expand professional and social opportunities. This group is geared toward professionals between the ages of 21 and 39 however the young at heart are always welcome. All committee chairs and officers must be between the ages of 21-39. We welcome new members to serve as ambassadors for the Central Connecticut area.

YBL meetings are held twice per month, including a morning business meeting held at the Midstate Chamber of Commerce and an evening social meeting held at various restaurants throughout the local area. Each meeting poses the opportunity to meet new people and develop projects that enrich our community.

 Murder on the S.S. Amore - A murder mystery play at Castle Craig

Description: Set sail for a romantic cruise - and prepare for an evening of merriment, music and murder! The Castle Craig Players will present “MURDER ON THE S.S. AMORE” – an audience participation murder mystery by Eileen Moushey – May 8-17 at the Almira F. Stephan Memorial Playhouse in Meriden.

Anything that CAN go wrong, HAS gone wrong aboard the S.S Amore, a not-so-luxurious honeymoon cruise ship. Captain Giovanni Della Robbia is trying to calm the passengers, with the assistance of cruise director, Gina. It's TALENT NIGHT about the Amore, and Gina recruits audience members to join in the competition. Just when it looks like the cruise won't be a total disaster, someone is murdered.

The cast features Ed Rosenblatt, Jeff Savage, Gayle DeBaun, Wesley Tack, Simone McMahan, Gayle Barrett, Stu Wolther, Lori Holm and Jonathan Smith. The show is directed by Melanie Del Sole.

Performances run for two weekends and are on Friday and Saturday eve nings at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday matinees at 2:00 p.m.

Presented cabaret style…you bring the food…they provide the entertainment. Doors open one hour before showtime.

Audience members are encouraged (but not required) to dress in their favorite cruise wear!

Classes will be held on May 12th, 19th, May 26th, and June 2nd. QuickBooks is a set of software solutions designed to manage payroll, inventory, sales and other needs of a small business. The software's features include marketing tools, merchant services, product and supplies, and training solutions.

Instructor Julio Casiano, Deputy District Director of Small Business Administration, will teach you how to use the system, enter data that willhelp you when you need financial assistance, be ready for taxes, and prepare reports like cash balance sheets, profit and loss statements, projections & actuals, pay bills, balance accounts, and much more.

After years of planning for the flood control, construction is nearly complete at downtown’s new HUB Park. YBL meetings are held twice per month, including a morning business meeting held at the Midstate Chamber of Commerce and an evening social meeting held at various restaurants throughout the local area. This group is geared toward professionals between the ages of 21 and 39 however the young at heart are always welcome. All committee chairs and officers must be between the ages of 21-39. We welcome new members to serve as ambassadors for the Central Connecticut area.

YBL meetings are held twice per month, including a morning business meeting held at the Midstate Chamber of Commerce and an evening social meeting held at various restaurants throughout the local area. Each meeting poses the opportunity to meet new people and develop projects that enrich our community.
