The Meriden Health Department is offering FREE Smoking Cessation Program

The Meriden Health Department is offering FREE Smoking Cessation Program that can help you make your New Year's Resolution a reality! Individuals who smoke or use other forms of smokeless tobacco are urged to join our Tobacco Free Tuesdays Meet- Up to receive the guidance and support you need to quit for good. January 17, 2012 Daytime session: 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm Evening session: 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Each group will meet on Tuesday for 6 weeks* at the Meriden Health Department, 165 Miller Street, Clinic Entrance. Groups will meet twice the week of January 30 (Jan. 31 and Feb. 2). Interested participants may also meet privately with the "QUIT COACH" for one-on-one conversation to determine a plan to become and remain tobacco free. Pregnant women, new moms, and their household members are highly encouraged to enroll in the program. Nicotine replacement therapies ( patch, gum, or lozenge, 12 week supply) are also available at no cost to those who enroll in the program (pregnant women will need doctor's approval).
