The Greater Meriden Chamber of Commerce, Inc. Hispanic Members Outreach Committee (HMOC) is pleased to announce new committee co-chairpersons: Richard Muniz, Middlesex Community College, 860.343.5736; and Melonie Torres, Comcast Spotlight, 860.243.4633. We thank Peter Escobar of Colonial Flooring Plus & The Uniform Source for his dedication in serving as the Committee Chairperson since the inception of the Committee in 2005. If you are interested in becoming a member of this committee, please contact either Richard or Melonie - all are welcome. The following is the list of the Committee Objectives: Encourage participation in the Chamber; Encourage participation in the Community; Raise funds for annual Educational Award; Grow leadership from the Hispanic Community; Improve business connections; Promote Hispanic Heritage Month activities; Celebrate Hispanic History in Meriden; Share success stories of committee members; Encourage and mentor the youth by providing excellent Hispanic role models; Have some fun! Upcoming meeting dates are as follows and are held at the Chamber's Board Room, unless otherwise specified: April 17, May 15, June 19, July 17, August 21, September 18, October 16, November 20, December 18.
