The Chamber Workforce Partnership was officially announced on November 9th, 2004 at Pegasus Triumph Compaire in Middletown.Through a grant from the Workforce Alliance, the Greater Meriden Chamber of Commerce has joined New Haven and Middlesex County Chambers of Commerce in matching workers to prospective employers. The program compliments the One-Stop system of finding workers and finds them jobs in the 30 town region that the Workforce Alliance serves.
Through this program, the Greater Meriden Chamber has hired Rochelle Kingsley, formerly the Executive Director of the Meriden Business and Learning Center, to be the area Business Services Specialist. Rochelle has extensive experience in workforce issues and a working connectivity with the business community.
Area businesses should contact the local Chambers of Commerce for more information on how this important initiative can help in all of the employment needs.
