Meriden's renovated and redesigned space will feature: refurbished interiors with updated carpets, draperies, furniture and lighting as well as new ceilings, paint, wallpaper and flooring; a designated ShortStay wing; a building-wide modern phone system; telephones and cable connectivity in all patient rooms with TVs provided in ShortStay rooms; updated dining room with new furniture, ceilings, wall coverings, lighting, window treatments and flooring; a modernized Rehabilitation Gym featuring the addition of new equipment (such as a new treadmill, bike, diathermy/ electric stimulation machine, and hi-low treatment mat); the availability of an on-site AED (automated external defibrillator - a life-saving machine that only a few care facilities in the state have in-house).

Meriden's renovations are expected to be complete for an Open House on June 27th 2007 - more information will be forthcoming. Open House visitors will have the opportunity to meet with dedicated staff and industry professionals while learning about Genesis' focus on patient care, comfort and peace of mind. Visitors will also have the opportunity to see first-hand Meriden's beautiful new décor.
