On July 10, 2007 at the Augusta Curtis Cultural Center, 17 graduates received high praise from their teachers and program staff for their outstanding effort and continued dedication. A combined graduation was held for Open DOHR graduates who completed the BASES program at Meriden Business and Learning Center and the Medical Receptionist program at Middlesex Community College. Both programs prepare students for positions in the field of Customer Service in specific in-demand areas such as Call Center, Bank Teller (BASES) and Medical Office (Medical Receptionist). Open DOHR offers trainings at no charge throughout the year in these and many other in-demand fields such as Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) and Introduction to Building Trades. Employers interested in filling their employment needs and individuals between the ages of 18-21 interested in participating in training should contact the Open DOHR program at 203.235.9297.
