The Engineering Summit at Wilcox Regional Technical High School gave students from Platt, Maloney and Wilcox high schools the opportunity to question engineers about salary, job performance and educational background. Among the participants were mechanical engineers, a chemical engineer and electrical engineers. Career facilitators from Platt and Maloney also attended the summit to gather research so that freshmen could learn about careers through workshops, job shadowing and a computer program. Deborah Sicignano, a career facilitator from Maloney, said that it was a great experience for students because it is what life in the workforce is all about.
