Campaign Co-Chairs, CFO Fred Flynn, and Dave Edgar ...

October 5, 2004

Campaign Co-Chairs, CFO Fred Flynn, and Dave Edgar, VP of Human Resources, enlisted scores of enthusiastic employees to run the annual employee fundraising campaign. Special fundraising events included a silent auction, raffles, book and bake sale, car wash, photography contest and ice cream social raised over $9,000 alone. Employees pledged $44,217 and together with Cuno's corporate pledge of $35,656 a record total of $88,957 was raised for the United Way. The amount represented is a 6% increase over last year's record of $84,290 and exceeded the company's goal of $85,000. CEO Mark Kachur was on hand during the closing ceremony to acknowledge the generosity and hard work of CUNO employees, handing our prizes to raffle and contest winners. CUNO's success year over year is due to a strong employee committee, top management support, and many special events which raise campaign awareness and add in a good dose of fun! Special thanks are due to the following CUNO United Way team leaders who helped make the campaign such a success: Chris Wetzel, Jim Riedinger, Frank Zagarino. Natalie Hebden, Fred Richardson, Dave Carbo, Sue Drummond, Gregg Samal, Melissa Gionfriddo, Deb Cooper, Tom Szadkowski, Denise Fudge, Walt Stohr, John Pulek, Rich Couture, Deb Fasci and Roberta De Fiore.
