BOSCOV'S COMMUNITY AUDITORIUM

October 5, 2015

The auditorium in the newest Boscov's department store in Westfield Meriden has been planned with the community in mind. The Community Auditorium is a spacious functional room, with portable walls to make it adaptable for large or small groups. It is tastefully decorated in contemporary colors. Comfortably seating 180 persons, it has a carpeted stage, runway and dressing room. It will be completely equipped with banquet tables and chairs, all available for community use.

Because Boscov's feels so strongly about its role in community affairs, the Community Auditorium is available free of charge to local not-for profit groups and organizations for fund raising events or other community activities. A busy schedule of store scheduled events make it impossible, however, to reserve the Auditorium for regular monthly meetings on a year round basis. The store will bring famous personalities from the entertainment world to the auditorium and for store sponsored free cultural, educational and recreational programs.

Some of the varied activities now scheduled for your Community Auditorium include Grand Opening entertainment by the versatile and talented actor and singer, Shirley Jones and her son Patrick Cassidy, and singer Elvis Aaron Pressley Jr. Other activities include seasonal fashion shows and Boscov's popular Campus of Courses classes for all ages offering a variety of subjects, beauty workshops, dancing classes and craft and hobby selections.

Local non-profit groups interested in booking the auditorium are asked to contact Boscov's Public Relations office for further information.
