Local philanthropist and stockbroker James P. Rybe ...

Local philanthropist and stockbroker James P. Rybeck passed away in March. He was involved in numerous aspects of city politics, business and community activities. Mr. and Mrs. Rybeck were recognized for their donation to MidState Medical Center in 1998, by having the James P. Rybeck Medical Office Building named in his honor. Mr. and Mrs. Rybeck were both very proud of being Meriden people and and grateful for the ability to give something back to the community. Among many others, Mr. Rybeck also donated to the Boys and Girls Club of Meriden. He had been a member of the Rotary Club, an organizer and initial director of Castle Bank & Trust Company, and a trustee of the First Congregational Church.
