BL Companies Welcomes Denis Rioux

Denis Rioux, AIA, of Cheshire has joined BL Companies as a senior project manager in the Meriden office. He has nearly 30 years experience in architecture, project management and construction administration, with a concentration in educational and public safety projects. He was previously a project manager at a Middletown, Connecticut-based architecture firm and the vice president of operations for the architecture and structural engineering divisions at a firm in Hamden, Connecticut. According to Robert Celata, director of architecture and building engineering and a principal at BL Companies, "We are very pleased that Denis has joined our team. He is a highly respected manager in the architecture field and will be a welcome addition to BL Companies. His expertise in education, public safety and health care will be an asset to our firm. Denis will enhance our ability to service public and private clients throughout the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic regions. Mr. Rioux earned a bachelor's degree in architecture at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, New York and a master's degree in business administration from the University of New Haven in West Haven, Connecticut.

Fluent in French and Spanish, Mr. Rioux is a LEED accredited professional, a registered architect in Connecticut and New York and a member of the American Institute of Architects, International Code Council and US Green Building Council.
