Meriden Square/Westfield Shoppingtown's new stores ...

Meriden Square/Westfield Shoppingtown's new stores should be open by September 1, 1999, predicts Bruce Eagleson, the mall's general manager. The $ 37.5 million project will expand the mall by more than 30 stores. Bruce is very pleased at the smooth and rapid completion of the project, which was prepared by Manafort Brothers of Plainville. Among the additional stores will be Lord & Taylor, World of Science, Creative Treasurers, Overland Trading, The Loft by Ann Taylor, Aero Postale and Charlotte Russe. These stores will employ more than 500 people during non-holiday times, and more than 700 during the holidays.
