Bruce Eagleson doesn't run a large company or sprawling industrial complex, but his management skills are a key component in the preservation of hundreds of jobs in the city. Mr. Eagleson is the manager of Westfield Shoppingtown Meriden that has become a regional shopping mecca since it was built in 1971. The shopping center employs approximately 2600 people in more than 155 stores, and has become one of Meriden's biggest job generators. A Middlefield resident, Mr. Eagleson has played a major role in the expansion of the center during this past year, when the mall added stores and a parking garage.
