Banned Books Movie Week at the Meriden Library

Ever wonder what some of the banned books are but don't want to read them? Come to the Meriden Public Library during the week of September 28 through October 3 for Banned Books Movie Week. We will be showing a movie each day that has been banned and/or challenged in communities around the country. The schedule is as follows: - Monday, September 28 at 6:00 pm - "The Witches" - Tuesday, September 29 at 6:00 pm - "How to Eat Fried Worms" - Thursday, October 1 at 3:00 pm - "James and the Giant Peach" - Friday, October 2 at 3:00 pm - "The Lorax" - Saturday, October 3 at 2:30 pm - "Where the Wild Things Are"

These movies are free and all are welcome. Contact the Community Services Department at (203) 630-6349 if you have questions about the library programs. The Meriden Public Library is located at 105 Miller St., Meriden.
