The 15th Annual Juried Theme Show, "Social Commentary", will be held February 6, 2000 through March 3, 2000 at Gallery 53 of the Arts & Crafts Association of Meriden Reception and Awards Ceremony will be on Sunday, February 6, 2000 from 2:00 to 4:00p.m. Exhibit includes oils, watercolor, acrylics, pastels, prints, stained glass, pottery, sculpture, crafts and photography. Works are an opportunity for artists to voice opinions, concerns, observations, or sentimental feelings about their environment. Recent original works not previously shown at Gallery 53 will be displayed. Gallery hours are Tuesday through Friday, Noon to 4:00 p.m. and Saturday 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. or other hours by appointment at 53 Colony Street, Meriden, across from the First Congregational Church and next to Butler's Paint Store. The gallery is part of the Association Arts Center which includes studios and shop. There is easy access to major highways I-91, 691 and the Wilbur Cross Parkway.
