The Arts & Crafts Association of Meiden presents its 78th Annual Juried Exhibition at Gallery 53 from Oct 13 to Nov 8 . This is the major exhibit of the year encompassing a large selection of art works including: paintings (watercolor, oil, acrylic and pastel), drawing and prints, sculpture, crafts and photography. The Opening Reception is Sunday, Oct 13 from 2-4p.m. with a musical performance at 2:30 p.m. by Louis Romao, classical guitarist. The Awards Ceremony is at 3 p.m. Judging was done by Robert Noreika from Paier School of Art and he is an instructor the Farmington Valley Art School, the Art Guild of Middletown and others.

Richard Kupstis, well known for his excellent critiques as well as his pottery will give one on this exhibit on Sun, Oct 20, from 2-4p.m..

The public is cordially invited to all events at no charge - refreshments will be served. It is the first time these works are being shown at Gallery 53. Regular hours for the Gallery/Arts Center/ Gift Shop are Tues. - Fri from noon to 4 p.m. and Sat 10-2 p.m. at 53 Colony St., Meriden (next to Butlers Paint & Decorating Co. and across from the First Congregational Church).
