Kelley Moore, owner of Kelli's A Salon, announced that more than $ 2,700 was raised at Kenny Gertz Day, co-sponsored with Antico Ravioli, Pralines Ice Cream and the Canada Dry Bottling Company of Meriden, Connecticut, Inc. The event was held to benefit the family of officer of Ken Gertz, who was injured in a motorcycle crash on June 14. Kelley Moore believes in communities supporting each other and expresses her gratitude to all who helped make the Day a success, including the Record-Journal for their discounted advertising. Another fundraiser for Ken Gertz will be held at Aqua Turf on November 4. Tickets are $ 25.00 and are available at Kelli's, Hancock's Pharmacy, Tomassetti's Distributors, or the Meriden Police Department.
