Owner Kelley Moore proudly reported that her recently sponsored "Meet the Artists" night raised $ 1200. The theme for this year has been to bring the concept of hair and art together. Several local artists were featured including Kelley's daughter Meghan, Paula Smith, Corrine Gates, Jennifer L. Nunez, Ellie Bender and Jeri Cantliffe. City Manager Roger Kemp, and novelist Laura Van Wormer, along with Ed Siebert Jr. and Beth Bruno, autographed copies of their latest books. In addition to the usual purpose of business after hours events providing networking opportunities, the party was held to raise funds for the Augusta Curtis Cultural Center. All the artists donated a portion of their sales for the night to the city's recently opened home for artistic and community programs.
