More than 100 volunteers from Hunter's Ambulance, the Police Department, the Fire Department, the Explorers, the South Meriden Volunteer Fire Department, Castle Craig Players and many others recently participated in the third annual Meriden Community Spirit of Giving. The long caravan, which included ambulances, fire engines, police cruisers, buses, vans and other vehicles, delivered presents to eight deserving families in Meriden. Volunteers, residents and neighbors all sang carols as the group approached each home. The spirit of giving was truly alive in Meriden this holiday season.
