Franciscan Home Care and Hospice Care, a home health care and hospice care agency located at 267 Finch Avenue, Meriden, Connecticut, was recently surveyed by the State Department of Public Health and found to be deficiency free and violation free. The State of Connecticut visited the agency July 16-18. Franciscan Home Care and Hospice Care has been given a 100% rating in past inspections. According to the State surveyor, it is "extremely rare" in this time of complex regulations to achieve "zero deficiency" status upon inspection. Sister Suzanne Gross, F. S. E., Administrator, lauded the home health care and hospice care staff for their excellence in providing quality care. Franciscan Home Care and Hospice, founded by the Franciscan Sisters of the Eucharist, is licensed by the State of Connecticut to provide home health care, hospice care, rehabilitation therapy, home health aide services and homemaking to individuals and families in their homes. The agency is a non-profit organization serving 31 towns in Connecticut.
