Carla Cesare has been named as the first Executive Director of the Center. She currently serves as the Executive Director of the Tabor Community Arts Center in Branford, CT. She previously was a Community Outreach coordinator at the New Britain Museum of American Art, and a not-for-profit consultant in Slovakia with the U.S. Peace Corps. She was once a Group Sales Manager for the New Haven Symphony, and also a representative for Growth & Kind in New York, where she succeeded as a fund-raiser for such organizations as Carnegie Hall and the Brooklyn Museum. She also worked in the merchandising division of the Guggenheim Museum. She received her BA degree in International Business form Marymount College, a certificate in Arts Administration from New York University, and studied at the Art Students' League of New York. She is currently president of the Connecticut Chapter of The Women's Caucus for Art.
