***WELCOME NEW MEMBER*** 279 Cook Avenue, Meriden, CT 06451-5519. The telephone number is 203-634-3446. Loretta Edson Parisi, owner of the barber/styling shop, is a graduate of the Roffler Academy of Hairstyling. She was one of the first female barbers in the state of Connecticut! Loretta began her career in Meriden at Sal's Barber Shop on the corner of Colony St. and Kensington Ave. (across the street from Engine Company 4 of the Meriden Fire Department) in Meriden in March of 1975. When Sal left the area she began business on her own and established Ret's Place in 1985, specializing in primarily male haircutting and styling. Every style of cut from corporate to classic cuts is offered for both adults and children. Loretta is also schooled in the art of razor cutting along with many of the popular clipper cuts such as fades, etc. Although appointments are preferred, time permitting walk-ins are always welcome. Loretta is a veteran of numerous seminars and trade shows and carries a line of Paul Mitchell, Wella, Biolage, Nexxus and Shaper products. Most product lines can be special ordered at no additional cost. Active in many area activities, Loretta is a supporter of youth sports and organizations and is actively involved in both the Relay for Life Race and the Susan B. Komen Race for the Cure. The sponsoring Ambassador is Eileen Bongiovanni of Bongiovanni Insurance and Investments.
