Politive Behavior Intervention and Support Program

The Meriden Public Schools has been involved with Positive Behavior Intervention and Support (PBIS) for several years. PBIS is a school-wide program that promotes positive behaviors in children within and outside the classroom. It is a system that supports success for all students and involves the entire staff and all the students. We continue to see the positive impact that the program has had on student achievement and school climate.One of the driving forces in PBIS is the incentives that students receive as a result of their positive behavior. Many local businesses have generously donated items that can be used for the PBIS program, such as flash drives, gift certificates, t-shirts, hats, event tickets, sporting equipment, etc. We, however, are still in need of more donations. Employees from our schools might be stopping by to ask if your company is able to contribute to this program.
