David Radcliffe, the agency's director, will be serving on the Record-Journal's editorial board for the fall term from September through November. The guest member program aims to involve community members with the process of deciding what subjects should be addressed in the columns and what positions the newspaper ought to adopt. Meriden's Children First Initiative is an agency funded largely by the William Caspar Graustein Memorial Fund, a private foundation in New Haven dedicated to educational reform. The aim of CFI is to educate parents, expand the availability of childcare and enhance a network of service providers for children up to age 8.
