Harvey Criscuolo can boast of many years in the real estate business. He owned the Home Store from 1974 to 1996 and all members of his family - his wife and four children - are licensed real-estate agents. In 1999 he became manager of the Wallingford store and was recently joined by his son Joe and his daughter Pam Savejs. Pam loves working with the first-time homebuyers who dominate the real estate market. Harvey believes that homes in Meriden are worth buying because their prices are about 25 per cent lower than in surrounding towns. This offsets the higher property taxes and Meriden remains the choice for first-time buyers. Loans to first-time buyers have increased each year in Meriden, according to Webster Bank loan officer Melissa Haseley. Harvey is a proud supporter of the Meriden community, because of its excellent industrial parks, Hubbard Park, dedicated teachers and favorable location.
